୧: (ସଂ. କଳ୍ପ) ଜଳୀୟାଂଶ ମାରି ଦେବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଘୃତ ଓ ତୈଳଆଦିକୁ ନିଆଁ ଇପରେ ଫୁଟାଇବା —୧. To boil oil etc over fire to free it from the watery portion.

୨: (ସଂ. କର୍କଶ) ଚଞ୍ଚଳ ବା ସତେଜ କରାଇବ — ୨. To cause one to shake off lathargy; to goad one to activity.

୩: ଘାଆ ଆଦିରୁ ରସ ଶୁଖାଇବା —୩. To heal (a sore); to cause a sore to granulate by cessation of watery discharge therefrom.

୪: (ସଂ. କଟୁ) ବୁହେ ଶୋଧିବା; ତର୍ଜନ କରିବା — ୪. To scold; to give a bit of one's mind.
