[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]- ୧. ମୃତ୍ୱୁର ୧ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦଶକ୍ରିୟା ଧରିଥିବା ଓ ମୁଖାଗ୍ନି ଦେଇଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଦଶତୁଠରେ ଯେଉଁ ଖପରା ବା ଛେଳୁଆରେ ଅନ୍ନ ରାନ୍ଧି ମୃତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିର ପ୍ରେତକୁ ପିଣ୍ଡ ଦିଏ —୧. Bits of earthen pot in which rice etc is boiled to offer piṇḍa (oblation cakes) at the bank of a tank to the Preta (or unreleased soul or spirit) of the deceased daily for ୧୦ days of the funerals.
- ୨. ମୃତ୍ୱୁର ଦଶାହ ଦିନ କ୍ରିୟା ଧରିବା ଲୋକ ଯେଉଁ ହାଣ୍ଡିରେ ଘିଅ ଓ ଗୁଡ଼ ଏକତ୍ର ଗରମ କରି ତହିଁରେ ଚାଉଳକୁ ଭାଜି ପୋଡ଼ିଲା ପରି କରି ଗାଧୋଇବା ସମୟରେ ପାଣିରେ ଭାସାଇ ଦେଇ ଖଣ୍ଡିଏ କାଠ— ଫାଳିଆରେ ବାଡ଼େଇ ଦିଏ ଓ ସେହି ସମୟରେ ନିଜେ ପାଣିରେ ବୁଡ଼ା ମାରେ; ଦଗ୍ଧହାଣ୍ଡି —୨. A earthen pot in which rice, ghee and molasses are fride to buring and which is made to float on water and then struck with a stick on the tenth day of the funerals.
