[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]ଗ୍ରାମରେ ହଇଜା, ବସନ୍ତ ଆଦି ଲାଗିଲା ବେଳେ ବା ଭୂତ ପ୍ରେତ ଆଦିଙ୍କୁ ଛଡ଼ାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଗ୍ରାମ ଶେଷ ଛକକ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ, ଛେନାପଣା ହାଣ୍ଡି ଓ ପିତୁଳା ଆଦି ଥୋଇବା —To leave the offerings to the village-goddess at the extremity of the village during the prevalence of Smallpox, cholera etc, with a hope of smallpox, cholera etc, with a hope that the evil spirits will be propitiated thereby.
