- ୧. ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଙ୍କ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ ଛଅଗୋଟି କର୍ମ; ଯଜନ, ଯାଜନ, ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ, ଅଧ୍ୟାପନ, ଦାନ ଓ ପ୍ରତିଗ୍ରହ —୧. The six duties enjoined on a Brāhmaṇa, viz performing Vedic sacrifice, officiating at a sacrifice, study or learning, teach ing, giving & accepting of gift.
- ୨. (ତନ୍ତ୍ର) ଶାନ୍ତିକରମ, ବଶୀକରଣ, ସ୍ତମ୍ଭନ, ବିଦ୍ୱେଷଣ, ଉଚ୍ଚାଟନ ଓ ମାରଣ ରୂପ ୬ ଗୋଟି ତନ୍ତ୍ରୋକ୍ତ ପ୍ରୟୋଗ ବା ଅଭିଚାର —୨. Six mystic rites employed in Tantric performances.
- ୩. ଜୀବିକା ନିର୍ବାହାର୍ଥ ଅନନ୍ୟୋପାୟ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ ଯେଉଁ ଛଅଟି କର୍ମ କରି ପାରିବେ ବୋଲି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଅନୁମତି ଦିଆ ଯାଇଅଛି; ଯଥା, ଉଞ୍ଛ, ପ୍ରତିଗ୍ରହ, ଭିକ୍ଷା, ବାଣିଜ୍ୟ, ପଶୁପାଳନ ଓ କୃଷି — ୩. The ୬ acts (e.g. gathering of fallen grains of corn from the paddy field after harvesting, acceptance of gift, begging, trade, rearing of beasts and agriculture) allowable to a Brāhmaṇa in want (Apte)
- ୪. ଯୋଗ ସାଧନ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅନୁ— ଷ୍ଠିତ ଛଅଟି କର୍ମ; ଯଥା—ଧୌତୀ, ବସ୍ତୀ, ନେତୀ, ନୌଳିକୀ, ତ୍ରାଟକ, କପାଳଭାତି —୪. The six acts of clean- sing the inside of the body, appertaining to the practice of J̄oma (Apte).
